- Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics is a founder of Scientific Center in Chernogolovka of Russian Academy of Sciences, one of its largest and leading institutes of the RAS. The institute has a wide range of scientific interests. Recently its basic research has been focused on investigations of kinetics and mechanisms of complex chemical and biological transformation studying the state and conversion of the substance under high temperatures and pressure solution of the problems of chemical and nuclear plants safety, development of drugs and catalysis. At present, the following scientific trends are being developed in the institute: general problems of chemical physics, structure of molecules and solids, chemical physics of combustion and explosion, kinetics and mechanism of complex chemical reactions, chemical physics of polymers formation and modification, chemical physics and biological systems, chemical materials science and etc.
