MATI is Russian State Technological University named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky (hereinafter University or MATI), is a federal government-financed educational institution of higher vocational training. The University implements 16 bachelor and master higher education vocational training programs including 24 professions, carries out training of top skill scientific and pedagogical specialists in 28 scientific professions, and also provides advanced and refresher training within the framework of professional programs of various profiles and duration. Now MATI has over 12 000 students and about 400 post-graduate students. Educational programs and scientific research works are carried out by more than 200 doctors of sciences and 450 candidates of sciences. Jointly with Kingston University (Great Britain) MATI established the Russian-British Aerospace School operating on students exchange principle. The school has been functioning successfully since 1995.
