- Ministry of Education and Science of the Astrakhan Region is the executive body of state power of the Astrakhan Region, performing in the region state policy and normative-legal regulation in education, science, upbringing, guardianship, social support and protection of students and pupils of educational institutions of the Astrakhan Region, as well as ensuring implementation of the constitutional right to education. The following four institutions of high education: Astrakhan State Technical University, Astrakhan State University, Astrakhan Institute of Civil Engineering, Astrakhan State Medical Academy and one research institute — All-Russia Research Institute of Irrigated Vegetable-Growing and Melon-Growing are taking part in the collective exposition orginized by the ministry.
