- The RF Chamber of Commerce was established to facilitate development of businesses at all levels, to shape relevant industrial, financial, commercial, scientific and information policies, to normalize relations between entrepreneurs and their social partners, to create favourable
conditions for business activities and interaction between business entities and with public authorities and local governments, to develop trade, economic, investment, scientific and technological cooperation between Russian businessmen and businessmen of foreign countries, as well as to coordinate and represent interests of all members of the RF Chamber of Commerce, businessmen and their associations irrespective of form of incorporation, subordination and location in the territory of the Russian
Federation.
Today the System of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry comprises:
— more than 180 local Chambers of Commerce,
— over 300 unions and associations of entrepreneurs at the federal level and 500 associations of entrepreneurs at the regional levels, representing the key sectors of the Russian economy,
— over 50 thousand enterprises and organizations of various forms of incorporation,
— 22 RF Commerce Chamber Committees and 13 councils on various activities and business sectors, more than 1,100 committees, commissions, councils and other public units established by local chambers,
— more than 30 representative offices of the Chamber abroad, covering 40 countries.
Under the Chamber there are over 70 Russian business councils with foreign countries.
